Keynote speakers at the conference are at the forefront of thought leadership. François-Philippe Champagne, Canada’s Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, discussed the role P3s can play in the government’s $180-billion Investing in Canada Plan to successfully deliver public transit and other key infrastructure projects. Leonard Brody, an award-winning entrepreneur and venture capitalist, outlined what the rapid pace of global change and technology disruption mean for infrastructure. Ricardo Rosselló, Governor of Puerto Rico, discussed how his government is working closely with the private sector to renew the Puerto Rican economy and quickly rebuild after Hurricane Maria. Joseph Mancinelli, International Vice-President and Central and Eastern Canada Regional Manager, LiUNA, explained how he spearheaded investments in infrastructure projects across Canada through the labour union’s $8-billion pension fund. Our sessions are always interactive discussions, targeting everything from the project pipeline to how the model can be improved, to help delegates think ‘big and beyond’ about the challenges and opportunities facing the P3 industry.
